We have been providing quality, custom handmade wirewrap jewelry since our founding in 1971. It is our mission to provide quality, hand picked stones and cameos, set in superior gold and silver wire at a competive price. We believe the best way to achive this goal is to schedule exhibts at local art and craft venues, thereby increasing and expanding our customer folloowing.
Elizabeth Goodson has served as the company artist and designer since 1971. She has been making wire wrap jewelry since the early 1970's. She first became aquainted with this art form through various artists at the King Richard's Renaissance Faires. She and her husband ran a food booth and some of the jewelry artists would trade their wares for food. Elizabeth and Dave soon became saturated with all kinds of barcelets, rings and necklaces and arranged to trade lessons rather than product.
Her first pieces were basic silver with rough slabs and stones. Elizabeth wanted to produce a finer looking product and began visiting lapidary and gem shows to get ideas and purchase polished cabochons and faceted gem stones. Working with these more elegant stones, techniques and skills developed quickly and friends and coworkers began to request custom pieces for thier own collections. Her expanded line soon included sterling and fine silver, gold filled and on special order, 14 karat gold settings.
In order to add new dimension to jewelry, Elizabeth studied with Master Wire Sculpture, Preston Ruether and Dale "couger" Armstrong, perfecting new styles and concepts in this ever changing art form. She then began to include carved bone, jade, many forms of pearls, beads and hand carved, imported cameos in her pieces.
Since relocating to the Fort Worth, Texas area she has been researching various venues, in which to exhibit her original pieces.
Expressions in Gold Ltd is family-owned and operated right here in Haslet, TX. Since our company opened its doors here in 2006, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.
